Glocalization, global strategies and local strategies
So much from local areas, as from global areas, strategies that tend to get over the globalization process strains are worked out. The repercussions of the local space erosion, as a consequence of the dynamics that globalization imposes, are displayed through local defence and promotion strategies. From the other side, from the global dimension, the strategies tend to penetrate the local space, trying to beat or minimize the confronting reactions. In these process of globalization and localization, there is a contact point where global strategies lay on local environments and vice versa

Because of new communication technologies, new opportunities are opened up for the local cultures diffusion. The trend to wider social, political and cultural convergence is being challenged by an identity revival which seems to question some important hypotheses of globalization. If it is true that globalization makes possible different cultures to encounter, this model creates social tensions too. Differences in access to culture-diffusion media stimulate a global battle for the survival of local cultures against hegemonic ones
