From government to governance: opportunities and challenges of a new paradigm
The structure of the article tries to reach two goals: we will start doing reference to those social transformation processes that seem to unchain (provoque) the crisis of the traditional ways of government and put pressure towards the emergence of a new way of governance; we´ll continue identifying the basic characteristic aspects of the new governance, pointing out those elements that make it differenet from the traditional government; we´ll finish questioning matters of this new paradigm that, in our opinion, should become in some of the key matters in the debate about the crisis and the re-structuration of the government processes.

The cosmopolitan democracy: a reaffirmation?
The victory of the Weastern liberal states that ended the Cold War spread the hope that the international relatinships could be guided by the ideals of democracy and the empire of law. In the beginning of the 90´s, a group of thinkers developed the polical project of the cosmopolitan democracy. The goal was to provide intellectual arguments in favour of an enlargement of democracy, so much inside the states as in the world field. Even though some significant successes have been achieved in democratization inside the states, a lot less has been achieved in the democratization of the world system.

Nominal Democracy, how to understand the factic limits of democratic power
In the context of development of analitic tools for the interpretation of the democratic system and the evaluation of the public power´s intervention, this article tries to develop the conditions of application of the Nominal Democracy concept. Used as a complement to the idea of Formal Democracy and opposite to Real Democracy, the concept tries to establish an analytic description functional criterion through the state of the effective distribution of the political power in the context of social and corporative struggle that characterize the contemporary capitalist societies. The objective limitation of the democratic power reach, is the main point of attention and support to unwrap the self characteristics of the social formations linked to nominal democracies

The big challenge of politic science in the XXI. Century: how to gain back (place back) the public space in the global era
It´s not just the crisis of modernity that is contributing to the weakening and bluring of the public sphere; the great transformations experienced by the current society, the society of globalization, are also affecting on it. Among those transformations we must enphasize the crisis of the State-Nation. We can´t resign in view of the erosion of the state institution, and in view of the progress of postmodern paradigm, to lose those politic spaces where in the name of justice are able to formulate our demands. It´s neccesary to give a consistent answer from the political, legal and even moral fields, to the fact of globalization in order to gain back, in the planetary scale, the politic spaces that are getting lost in the state field. Europe could be the paradigm to follow, and politic science has got an unavoidable and decisive role in the current situation. Here is the main argument to be developed in this work.

Globalization, democracy and global governance: Latin America perspective
In a context of neoliberalism-globalization in Latin America , even though the efforts of modernization, the deep inequalities, the worrying levels of poverty and the insufficient economic growth haven´t been overcome. As a result, the apathy and the indifference of the citizens have increased with democracy. It´s required a democracy that allow citizen´s participation in the main decision takings; a more effective and efficient government, flexible, free and clear that guarantee the governance in the region.

Challenges to democacy and the European answer: between governance and the return of the politic
Inside a tendence that seems to be general, the concept of governance has been placed in the last years in the center of the research schedule. Particularly in Europe , besides adjetives such as multilevel, etc... , there has been a generalized process of thinking about the old basis of our politic systems. The european integration, inserted among more general processes of globalization, has forced the questioning of the basis of our democracies. The challenge seems to be how to rescue the valuable from this political system in the new historic conditions.

We remind the evolution that has occurred in the concept of international actor and in the theoretical consideration and incorporation of the NCGA in the typology of actors. We emphasize that the participation in the international relationships of the NCGA is a growing and world reaching phenomenon. We finish mentioning the causes, means and activitiesof the NCGA in the international sphere.

Lookin for a vocabulary to theorize the contemporary territorial experience
Space, territory, place: These terms, in an analytic work such as the one we undertake, are not and can´t be interchangeable. Each one has it´s own role and sense and must colaborate in a particular way to understand the context of human life. Our discursive appropriation of natural space that restrain and cross us cyclically appear deficient and ruined by historic crisises or natural catastrophes that prove it´s precarity facing a incomprehensible reality of a material horizon revealed by them, and at the same time, hidden, trapped and elusive.
