Emerging new dynamics, due to the process of globalization, are conditioning more and more many of the traditional fields of study of the Social Sciences, and creating new ones, (if not revitalizing them). With the human being as the basic guiding element of its scientific work, Politika review tries to study in depth several aspects of particular interest in the present international society, without losing sight of the localized character of many human needs
Politika is a Social Sciences, half-yearly, review that can be suscribed to. It accepts free-topic research works but, anyway, it organizes the successive numbers with regard to special issues. The main guide that vertebrates each and every number is the subject of the dynamics that emerge due to the inevitable contact between the global and the local. So, it aspires to study topics that are salient to the Social Sciences from the point of view of the new dynamics that we experience because of the globalization process. Moreover, the complexity of these dynamics make necessary the use of a transdisciplinary approach, a question that will also be taken into account.
Political participation, identity, governance, globalization process’ impacts, etc., constitute some of the references that will be kept as guiding principles to design the successive
numbers. Anyway, the review will also keep room to different free-issue contributions. Is suitable to contact the review’s secretary in order to agree the features of the articles, in accordance with the general
publication characteristics. The articles will be submitted to the approval of the Scientific Council [of Assessment] and to the assessment of external evaluators when necessary.
What’s more, this communication project aspires to reach other goals that are considered relevant to the scientific community. So, as far as possible, it tries to facilitate the incorporation of new researchers and to set up a dialogue between different scientific generations.
